MONTGOMERY CENTRAL FIRE STATION NO. 51

This new fire station in Montgomery County features a spacious apparatus bay for four fire engines, office spaces, dormitories, workout facilities, a kitchen, and a training room, with an exterior of CMU, brick veneer, and metal panels. The station’s unique structural design combines steel columns, wood trusses, and deep wide-flange beams to support the roof and resist high wind forces, while also framing functional elements like mezzanines and a clerestory roof.
