In 2005, the City of La Porte commissioned a distinctive fire station featuring unique geometric design elements, such as asymmetrical roof slopes and a 375-square-foot atrium, complemented by CMU block veneer and a standing seam metal roof. The structural system incorporated steel columns and beams, Z-purlins, steel rod bracing, and HSS tube beams, with additional steel framing to meet the area's high wind requirements.
